What they say:  " Organize your ideas using a tool that complements the way you think. Drag in text and images from Safari, Word, the Desktop and most other OS X applications. Place them anywhere on multiple worksheets within a single document.

Use the content you've gathered to build elaborate visual hierarchies. Add annotation. Link to external web pages and desktop documents. Easily mastered, surprisingly powerful."

What they say:  " Our decision making software is based on two powerful concepts. The first concept is mind maps with their world-renowned efficiency. The second concept is multiple criteria analysis (MCDA) which is widely used in decision support systems. These two concepts were efficiently combined and intertwined into one analytical product to make your work highly productive and well-organized.

MindDecider facilitates creative approaches and at the same time employs precision of mathematics and logic. This is the first marketed decision making software to offer users such a powerful combination. Creativity plus logic gives you powerful keys to success."

Basic introduction to mindmapping

I didn't see why this shouldn't work all the year round. No need to wait for the New Year - here it is.   [Vic]

Mindmapping for the quick-witted

This is a good, quick description of what mindmapping is, when applied to its use for note taking. It’s a little short on specifics and examples, so you’ll have to browse further on mind-mapping.org for those.   [Vic]

Vegetable or royalty – take your pick with mindmapping

Whether you have vegetable or royal aspirations, I can confirm that you'll find mindmapping a great way of calming yourself down when you have many calls on your time, ideas buzzing round your head and objectives to meet. But it must fit your own personal style of thinking, and you must set aside the time to do it! That's how I bust stress, not by mapping out my stressful times. But we're all different, and maybe this will work for you.   [Vic]

Mindmapping to plan your life

To each individual reader, mindmap topics don't come much bigger than this -- on the personal level, anyway.   [Vic]

The mindmapping route to project-team building

This piece sets out what seems to me to be a novel use for mindmapping: Staffing a project, functional unit or department. It is a good illustration of the flexibility of the mindmapping approach. I often use mindmapping in drawing up job specifications and candidate profiles, but not quite in the way described here. I think I'll give it a try.   [Vic]
