Libraries and Directories
  • Mind-mapping.org has a page devoted to Libraries and Directories of many types of maps
    http://www.mind-mapping.org/mind-map-libraries.html
And it's a great starting point, because that page has a search engine for you to use, that draws exclusively on those libraries.

  • Hi Vic,

Great work on the forum, I will make sure we let our members know about it!

With regards to your directory of mind map libraries and directories, I was hoping you might be able to update the Biggerplate entry to reflect the changes and additions of the last few months? We have made some big leaps forward and it would be great to have an updated listing to reflect this on your list!

If you need any info, just let me know!

Best wishes, and keep up the good work providing help and advice for others!

    Biggerplate

  • Right Liam!  Will do.

You've been doing terrific work over at Biggerplate.

    Vic
  • The Biggerplate entry here http://www.mind-mapping.org/mind-map-libraries.html has now been updated to reflect the addition of iMindMap as a source of maps that Biggerplate accepts.

You may have to refresh to see the updated image the 1st time you view the revised page.

  • Vic,

Thanks for the updated entry - glad you approve of our recent efforts!

I see that you recently reviewed iThoughts HD on your blog, and wondered whether you have tried the latest addition to Biggerplate? You can now open any of the maps on Biggerplate directly into iThoughts when you browse the site via your iPad. We rather like this!

Anyhow, back to work for me!

    Liam

  • I wouldn't say I reviewed it Liam, I don't have an iPad yet.

Andrew Wilcox pointed out the update and it looked important so I mentioned it on the blog, because I see nothing but good comments about iThoughtsHD.  I just have the lowly iPhone version myself!

That benefit of Biggerplate sounds terrific.  I'll remember it for when I can try it out in person.

Btw, you don't have any info on my da Vinci question do you? This one:

    Vic
  • Vic,

I'm sure you will find yourself enough compelling reasons to get an iPad soon!

I'm afraid I don't have any useful insights into the Da Vinci question, though I do (like you) remember hearing that Da Vinci used a form of mind map. Unfortunately, I don't remember where I heard it, or whether there was a credible source of information for it!

    I'll keep my eyes open!
